Two childhood sweethearts marry, and the husband’s untreated psychiatric illness progressively unmakes the marriage. Released on 30 March 2012, the film introduced Anirudh Ravichander as a film composer and carried “Why This Kolaveri Di”, written and performed by Dhanush, which became one of the most-streamed Indian songs of its time.

Written and directed as her documentary debut, Cinema Veeran records the working lives of the stunt artistes and fight choreographers of Tamil cinema — performers who take the industry’s physical risks and are rarely named for it. Rajinikanth provided the narration. Filming began in late December 2015; the film was released on 21 June 2017.

A cricket match between two village teams becomes the flashpoint for communal tension, and a local leader works to hold the community together. Released on 9 February 2024 with a score by A. R. Rahman, the film marked the first time Rajinikanth acted under his daughter’s direction, in an extended cameo as Moideen Bhai. Filming took place in Chennai, Mumbai and Pondicherry.

Launched with a ceremony in Chennai in March 2026 and on the floors from June, Texla is a multilingual production led by Jai and Suraj Venjaramoodu, with Suraj playing Jai’s father. Yuvan Shankar Raja returns as composer after Vai Raja Vai. The film is planned for release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
